After leaving Fife at 4am on Saturday 1st August 2009 and a mammoth ten hour drive, we arrived to an explosion of canvas at Windsor Great Park, the site for WINGS2009 and the home for a week to 6,000 Scouts and Guides from across the world.

Monday 3rd & Tuesday 4th August 2009

Monday morning signalled the start of the ten WINGS Zones, each of which would be done over half a day.

Each WINGS participant was allocated to a different programme groups named after common animals - we were in the frogs.

Wednesday 5th & Thursday 6th August 2009

The morning of Wednesday was one of the best of the week enjoyed by all as it was spent in the "Hot Air" zone.

Hot Air was all about inflatable fun and gave us all the chance to challenge one another to many duels on different things from bungee runs to robo football!

A small cloud had grown over the great park on the Friday as people realised that it was going to be our last full day together, however this did not spoil the fun as there was still too much to do... if anything it made everyone a little more determined to make this day extra special.
