We arrived at the Ferrytoll park and ride to get the Megabus at 0915 hours. We travelled from Ferrytoll to Inverness and arrived at around 1220 hours.

Loch Ness - Tuesday 3rd April

We departed from Invermoriston at 9am. We had tomato soup and rice pudding for breakfast, it was… interesting. We all found it hard to walk with blisters on our feet and aching back from the first days hike. We kept our spirits high though listening to Stephens wails and the group singing ‘Flower of Scotland‘.

Loch Ness - Wednesday 4th April

A day of rest for most of us. We had a fairly late start of 8 o’clock and booked ourselves on a tour of Loch Ness by boat. Before the boat trip we decided to go and visit the Loch Ness tourist centre where we watched a movie about all of Nessie’s “sightings”.

We had tomato soup and rice pudding for breakfast and were growing quite fond of this. We left Backpackers Lodge in Drumnadrochit and knew we had a gruelling 19 mile hike ahead of us.

Poland/ Slovakia/ Czech Republic - Explorer Belt

Here is our report on our Explorer Belt/Queen Scout expedition. We went out to Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia for two weeks from 3rd-17th August 2006. We had an amazing time so we’d like to tell you all about it.
