Our first day of travel and… we got lost. The plan was to catch the train from Krakow Central to Nowy Targ… We didn’t realise that we had to change trains at Krakow Plazkow.

So we ended up halfway to Ukraine before the conductor came to collect our tickets and informed us of our mistake. We stepped off at the next stop.

Today we headed out for a two day hike in the mountains. Apparently, the hike we did the day before was only a warm up!

It was rather exhausting and fairly hard going but well worth it all the same. The scenery was beautiful and it meant we got to know the Polish scouts a bit better.

We got lost a couple of times but this time it was Masay and Olek’s fault (the Polish leaders)!

It was mostly downhill after a short bus journey to the start of the trail. After a days walking, (making friends with some local farm animals on the way…) we arrived back at Wapienica.

It really presses down on you!
